Tommy, Chicago: Exactly what was it like to be the most famous high school student in the country?
Derrick Rose: It was pretty overwhelming knowing that everybody’s watching at all times and knowing that you have to behave a certain way at all times. It was kind of hard being known like that.
Nancy, Cleveland: What was the deciding factor that got you to come to Memphis, as opposed to any other school?
DR: My teammates and my coaches. They were the reasons why.
Bob, Memphis: What’s the biggest difference between Chicago and Memphis?
DR: Man, everything closes down here at a certain time. In Chicago, you always have something to do. Always. Around here everything shuts down at 11 p.m. or 12 a.m.
Erin, Boston: What do you think about The U of M campus?
DR: I like it. It’s small and I don’t have to worry about walking real far. I can get places way quicker here than any other campus.
