Question:

Hey Mr. Rose, I'm a Filipino and a huge fan of yours. I just want to ask you this question, when do you think you'll come back?

Answer:

I really don't know yet. It's ultimately up the doctors to tell me that I'm 100% healthy. I'm working very hard though, and my knee is doing well, so I can't wait until I'm able to get back out there with my teammates.

Hey Derrick. What's your favorite Chicago pizza? I hope you know we all love and appreciate you, man! Keep up the hard work!

Answer:

Giordano's! I'm actually a part owner in the company now and will have my own signature pizza coming out! If you're in Chicago, check it out.

Answer:

Hi! It's still crazy to me that I have fans all over the world, so thanks for the support. My hobbies are like most people my age... I like to watch movies, hang out with friends and family, play video games, listening to music,play ping pong, and of course, basketball!

Hi!Rose!I‘m your fan Chinese.How do you feel your tour in China?

Answer:

My tour through China was amazing. The fan support was incredible and I got to meet a lot of great people. I also got to play with some really talented players so that was fun as well. I always get treated so well that I can't wait to come back!

Question:

Hey I'm like also a huge fan of you. You're my favorite player of all-time. I plan to try out for the basketball team this year. What should I do to make the team?

Answer:

Thanks, I appreciate that. Make sure to spend the summer practicing and working as hard as you can so you're ready for the tryout. Focus on areas where you aren't as good as you'd like to be and spend a lot of time trying to improve in those areas. Good luck!

Derrick, this injury is definitely teaching you patience….through this struggle you are becomming a better person,son, brother and player:) wow i cant wait to see you on that court. Your my favorite player so this is teaching me to be patient too. My thoughts are with you and the bulls.

Hey Derrick. I hope your rehab is going well. As soon as the unfortunate injury happened, my girlfriend and I immediately went to the store and drove up to the Berto Center to drop off a card (her idea which was a great one). As was written in that card, “Strength is Made Perfect in Weakness.” Despite it being a weak moment when you got hurt, you will be perfected as not only a basketball player but as a person because of it.
