Power Balance, the makers of performance technology wristbands, has issued a challenge to their elite playoff-bound group of wristbands wearers. The stars, dubbed the “Fab Four”, will take part in the inaugural “Bucks for Buckets” challenge to raise money for their charity of choice.
Throughout the 2010 playoffs, Power Balance will donate $10 for every point scored by any of the “Fab Four” towards their designated charity. The player who scores the most points during their team’s playoff run will be crowned the “Bucks For Buckets” champion and will receive an additional $10,000 for his charity, courtesy of Power Balance.
“Power Balance is proud to team up with our basketball ambassadors to aid these worthy causes,” said Josh Rodarmel, Vice President of Branding and Communications at Power Balance. “We wish them all success in their quest for the championship and hope that they will be racking up points for charity along the way.”
Power Balance is performance technology that works with your body’s natural energy field. Founded by athletes, Power Balance has become a favorite among elite athletes and consumers and can be seen on the wrists of hundreds of the world’s top sports stars and celebrities.
The beneficiaries of the challenge represent a diverse collection of charities and foundations, each of which are personally supported by the players themselves. They include: The Odessa Chambliss Quality of Life Fund Inc, represented by O’Neal; The Cathy’s Kids Foundation represented by Odom; The Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago, represented by Rose; and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, represented by Jennings.
